History
The Jamestown Police Department was established as Jamestown's main fighting force against local native tribes in The Battle of Jamestown which was said to be in 1770's near the creation of the Jamestown Colony.

Field Operations Bureau
The Field Operations Bureau consists of a Patrol Division which is tasked with the management of regular patrol officers in Jamestown. The Community Relations Unit is responsible for the outreach with the citizens and informing them of certain events/employees
Support Operations Bureau
The Support Operations Bureau consists of the Investigations Division, tasked with the investigations of citizens, Internal Affairs, tasked with the investigations and reports of employees, and the Special Response Team, tasked with providing assistance and support in times of need.
